Former Senior Admissions Officer at Harvard College
Chuck Hughes brings his experience as a senior admissions officer at Harvard College to Road To College. Author of What It Really Takes to Get into the Ivy League and Other Highly Selective Colleges, Chuck has the experience to help students better prepare for the college admissions process. Our team members have worked in admissions at Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, MIT, The University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, Duke, Tufts, Amherst, Columbia, Boston College, St. Lawrence, UConn, Providence, Washington University in St Louis, Case Western Reserve and many other institutions. Sara Cronin – Senior Admissions Consultant
A graduate of Siena College (Albany, NY), Sara Cronin was assistant director and then associate director of admissions at her alma mater from 1992-1996. Following Siena, Sara made the move to the public sector and worked in the admissions office at the University of Connecticut. Sara became assistant dean of admission at Providence College and was ultimately promoted to associate dean from 1997-2000. Sara completed her masters in Guidance and Counseling in 2001 at Providence College. Following her departure from Providence College Sara worked at the College Planning Center of Rhode Island, and the Community College of Rhode Island Advising Center.
Sara manages several educational partnership programs and our consulting team in addition to working with individual students.
Rebecca Georgenes – Senior Admissions Consultant
Becky graduated from Princeton University with an AB in Politics and concentration in economics in 1989 and worked as an admissions officer at Princeton from 1989 to 1991. She earned her EdM from Harvard in 1992 in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy. Becky taught in The New Orleans schools from 1993-1999 before moving into the educational consulting world where she has been a tutor and a college coach for over nine years. Becky is currently located in the Boston area.
Lisa Cynamon Mayers - Lisa worked as a Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at Washington University from 1999-2002 and interned in Case Western Reserve’s Admissions Office as a graduate intern while she completed her Master’s degree. Lisa served as an admissions officer at Case Western in the winter of 2010-2011 to support the admissions office during a maternity leave in the midst of the admission cycle. Lisa graduated from Washington University in St Louis with a degree in Architecture and History, and she earned her Master’s Degree from Case Western University in History. Lisa currently resides in Cleveland, OH and has been with Road To College since 2004.
Darren Reaume -- Darren spent seven years as an Assistant Dean of Admission at Amherst College. In addition to his work in admissions, he also served as a coordinator for the college’s community college outreach initiative that worked to bring dozens of community college transfers to Amherst as part of an effort to attract non-traditional students. Darren also spent seven seasons as an assistant coach for the Amherst College men’s Ice Hockey team, coaching at his alma mater. Darren received his BA in Philosophy from Amherst College in 2002.
